Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

At The Solutions Company we understand that the development of our wider corporate responsibilities is a vital part of the evolution of a successful business. In relation to the environment, this means we should take full account of our impact through the management of our business and the implementation of our operations and processes. With this in mind we feel everything we do should be reflective of the challenges to society raised by our ever changing environment.

Our approach to the area of Corporate Social Responsibility means that we are constantly reviewing the relationships we have within the communities in which we operate. Our commitments are outlined below:

Clients
As well as our own approach to CSR, we believe we have a additional responsibility through our ‘Duty of care’ to clients to assist through a consultative approach to endeavour to encourage them to plan their activities with as low an impact on the environment as possible.

Community
The Solutions Company contributes to the community in which we work by supporting local suppliers where possible such as couriers, printers, et al. Whenever The Solutions Company are appointed to support a client with a project, we strive to use local providers and support the local community both commercially and environmentally as much as we can.

The Solutions Company believes in raising awareness of environmental issues and it is our policy to take all reasonable measures to promote sustainability. We continuously strive to minimise the use of power and resources, recycling at every opportunity. The environmental approach taken by our suppliers is extremely important to us and we encourage all those we work with to be proactive in this area.

Although we are not a large consumer of power or producer of waste, we believe it is our responsibility to continuously audit how we can reduce this further and assist in protecting our environment. Moving forward it is our commitment to continue to look at ways in which we contribute to the cause as well as being aware of any new legislation. We review our progress at regular intervals and listen to the consensus of opinion from our staff, our clients and society at large.

The Solutions Company has an employee lead CSR committee who contribute daily with tips for our staff i.e. If it isn’t being used switch it off, no plastic cups wash up instead, only work with recycled stationery, don’t leave computers on stand by, close doors to reduce heat loss etc.

Health & Safety

The Solutions Company will always provide an environment which is both safe and fit for the intended purpose and ensures that health and safety issues are both a priority for all business operations.

Human Rights

We respect the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and seek to be guided by its provisions in the conduct of our business.

Suppliers

Working in partnership with our suppliers helps us to maintain standards across the company and achieve our policy aspirations in the delivery of our products and services. We ask hotels, venues and other suppliers to provide their environmental policy, which we share with clients.
