Liz Wood

Liz Wood has over 10 years hotel experience and is an accomplished all rounder. With
excellent marketing, sales and communication skills, she is able to relate to people at
all levels. Liz is a very dedicated, confident and imaginative person with a proven track
record of exceeding targets and developing and implementing strategic plans for pre
and post opening of hotels. These have included: Crowne Plaza Marlow;
Macdonald Manchester Hotel & the Macdonald St. Paul's Hotel Sheffield now one
of the flagships of the Mercure brand. This is where she met her friend and now
business partner, Lewis Howe.

However, before finding her niche market, Liz underwent a fast track career in
advertising sales. She began as a sales receptionist for Sheffield Weekly Newspaper
Group and then worked through the different departments, including 6 months as a
telephone sales cold canvasser and was subsequently promoted to a field sales position. Liz
decided to change direction and moved to London to begin a career in exhibition sales
and operations. Here she spent 2 years organising and selling 2 large leisure exhibitions
which took place in Olympia and Manchester Central. This was just the begining of
her hotel career...
